Girls Dignity Program

Our History

The Girls Dignity Program began after we recognized a common challenge faced by many school girls in underserved communities.

Teachers and community leaders shared that many girls were missing several days of school every month due to lack of sanitary pads. Some girls stayed home, while others struggled in silence because they did not have the resources they needed.

At Nsiima Foundation Uganda, we saw the urgent need to support these girls and began organizing pad distribution and education programs in schools.

What started as a small initiative has grown into a mission to ensure that every girl has the resources and knowledge she needs to manage her menstrual health with dignity.

The People & Culture

Girls in our communities are full of potential, intelligence, and determination. However, many face barriers that limit their opportunities to succeed.

When girls receive menstrual health support, the impact goes far beyond hygiene. It restores confidence, encourages school attendance, and creates an environment where girls feel valued and supported.

Our programs also involve teachers, parents, and community leaders to help break the silence and stigma surrounding menstruation.

By educating entire communities, we are helping create a culture where girls can grow, learn, and lead without unnecessary obstacles.

Help Support a Girl

Your support can help provide sanitary pads and menstrual health education to girls who need it most.

With your help, we can ensure that girls stay in school, maintain their dignity, and pursue brighter futures.

Every contribution helps us reach more schools and support more girls across Uganda.
